Our Team

James Cunningham

James Cunningham

President

Hi, thank you for coming to our website and checking out our team. I’m hoping this short Bio, and the ones following below, will help to reveal who we are at AFF, what’s important to us, and how we can help you in your manufacturing processes. I’m a firm subscriber to the old adage that “people don’t do business with businesses, people do business with people.”

After graduating from Fairfield University, I joined the family business (Cunningham & Associates, LLC) as a systems, quality, and process consultant for manufacturers across New England. After helping business owners and their teams successfully implement new ERP software, quality systems (IS 9001 & AS9100), shop floor controls, and management information systems, I joined American Fabrication and Finish (AFF) full time as its President. I like to think that the decision to join the family business reflects the values that are important me and the same values that permeates throughout AFF, e.g. creating meaningful relationships with people you care about through high quality work and performance. Here at AFF, we care about our customers, our vendors, our teammates, and our community – and this shows in our quality of work.

In my free time, I like to play golf and tennis, travel with my girlfriend, and read. Currently, I’m enrolled at Harvard University, working to obtain my Master’s in Management. I love making new friends and new relationships – please feel free to call me on my cell (774-364-1129) to talk about what we can do to help your supply chain, to schedule a shop tour, or just get in touch. Thanks, James

Jon Borgstrom

Jon Borgstrom

Operations Manager

Metal is Jon’s passion. Whether it be welding, forming, or the science behind the process, working with metal has always kept his interest. Jon has a strong background as well. As a graduate from Assabet Valley Tech., he was given a head start towards his career path. His time spent at school built a strong sense of work ethic, which we believe is by far one of the most valuable traits in this industry. The years following his graduation lead him to intricate work with various types of stainless steel. With mostly T.I.G. welding as his specialty, he broadened his horizons by learning various types of metal working equipment. After several years, he is proud to say that he is extremely proficient with all aspects of a sheet metal shop.

Outside of work, Jon is an active individual. He enjoys hiking and camping on weekends, as well as winter sports such as snowboarding when the weather permits. Other than that, he is a very relaxed person, and spends his time helping his family and friends.
